La Romanza qui suit, d'une grande douceur, touche d'autant plus que ses interprètes la dépouillent de tout sentimentalisme. C’est Baudelaire encore qui inspira à Henri Dutilleux son concerto pour violoncelle et orchestre, “Tout un monde lointain” [...] « C’est un miracle que ce cello concerto », déclarait Rostropovitch, qui le créa en 1970. Avec Emmanuelle Bertrand, qui excella, le miracle se reproduisit hier soir et, comme lors de sa création, le concerto fut bissé.
