Ensemble Contraste

CHAMBER MUSIC

Summer nights

French romantic music

To bring together in one program Hector Berlioz's Nuits d'été and Gabriel Fauré's La bonne chanson, is to mirror two of the most important vocal cycles of French romantic music.

The Ensemble Contraste wanted to arrange these two works to make a perfect example of chamber music with voice, musical genre that he particularly likes.

This program is completed by Gabriel Fauré's First Piano Quartet.
