Quatuor A'dam
ORIGINAL PROJECTSWhen I was Boris Vian
An evening in Saint-Germain-des-Prés with Boris Vian
Novelist, engineer, trumpeter, journalist, jazzologist, performer, etc., Boris Vian is without doubt one of the great French geniuses of the 20th century.
A true jack-of-all-trades who lived - literally and figuratively - out of breath, he set the Saint-Germain-des-Prés nights alight in the immediate post-war period. Cellars and cabarets were the place to be. Boris Vian and a host of young artists created their songs there, keeping the musical heart of Paris beating late into the night.
The Quatuor A'dam invites you to plunge into the muggy atmosphere of the caf'conc' and discover the different facets of this frenetic artist, with their original arrangements of Boris Vian songs for four male voices a cappella!
