Quatuor Akilone

STRING QUARTET

Cantabile

The human voice is the ideal inspiration for every musician.

These two composers, both genius melodists, also have in common that they draw on the roots of their countries to nourish their music: love songs that cross the ages and touch the soul, but also dances from traditional oral music, supple, suggestive, swaying. Here we are at the crossroads of two cultures that are both distinct and intertwined by the history they share. From Vienna to Bohemia, a journey through the songs of forests, mountains and rivers, of love, life and death, of legends and tales.
