Born in Minneapolis in 1991, pianist Reed Tetzloff is considered one of the brightest stars of his generation. After studying at the Manhattan School of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, he came to international attention at the XV Tchaikovsky Competition, and has won countless prestigious competitions. Joining him is the Akilone Quartet, widely acclaimed for their virtuosity and musical depth. Their programme? Mozart's Piano Concertos Nos. 20 and 23, in previously unpublished transcriptions for piano and string quartet. These arrangements offer a new perspective on these major classical works, highlighting the quartet's rich textures and musical nuances. Or when the intimacy of chamber music meets the grandeur of the piano concertos... Here, the alliance between Tetzloff's pianistic mastery and the sensitivity of the Akilone Quartet promises a captivating performance, full of life.
