Schubert in love

In co-production with the Abbey of Noirlac - Cultural Center of meetings

We have all, buried in us, some notes of Schubert. Almost without knowing it, we have memories and emotions shared with this music.

For several years, we wanted to bring together on a CD Rosemary Standley and the musicians of the Ensemble Contraste around a repertoire that can lend itself to an original sound texture, the result of our respective influences: classics, pop, jazz, folk. We have selected lieder for a different lighting.

We have integrated rhythms from other countries and unusual instruments in this repertoire: piano, violin, viola or cello but also guitar, bass, trumpet and percussion. Surrounded by musicians from different musical worlds, Johan Farjot has imagined subtle arrangements in the form of tribute to this composer.
Schubert is here transfigured.
