After studying cello with Paul Boufil, Emmanuel Bardon decided to devote himself to singing. He studied with Gaël de Kerret and at the Maîtrise du Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles with Olivier Schneebeli and Maarten Köningsberger, and obtained a higher diploma in singing in 1995.
He has also had the opportunity to study with Mireille Deguy, Ronald Klekampf, Montserrat Figueras, Jordi Savall, Maria-Cristina Kiehr, Margaret Hönig, Noëlle Barker and Jenifer Smith. He has taken part in the productions of ensembles such as the Concert Spirituel (Hervé Niquet), La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Jordi Savall), the Musiciens du Louvre (Marc Minkowski), Capriccio Stravagante (Skip Sempé), the Parlement de Musique (Martin Gester), the Simphonie du Marais (Hugo Reyne)...
In 1996, he founded Canticum Novum, an ensemble in residence at the Opéra-Théâtre de Saint-Étienne and then at the Ancienne École des Beaux-Arts, with which he performs in concerts throughout France and abroad.
Emmanuel Bardon is the founder and artistic director of the Musique à Fontmorigny festival (Cher) since 1999. At the same time, he founded in 2013 the École de l'Oralité, a structure for creation and cultural mediation, based in Saint-Étienne.
