Emmanuelle Bertrand (version courte) cello

Emmanuelle Bertrand is considered an emblematic figure of the European cello. She performs as a soloist or chamber musician in the most prestigious concert halls. Professor of cello and chamber music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, she was in 2022 the first woman to be appointed professor of cello at the institution created in 1795. In 2000, the composer Henri Dutilleux described her as a "true revelation". She forms a duo with the pianist Pascal Amoyel. Her recordings for Harmonia Mundi, both solo and in duo, have received the highest awards. She plays a cello by Carlo Tononi from 1730.
