Nominated for a Grammy Award for *The Lost Scores – Kenny Wheeler Legacy* and recipient of the Musician’s Company’s 2024 Silver Medal, Ananda Brandão is a Franco-Brazilian artist, drummer, singer, and composer, described by Jazz à Vienne as “a rising star.”

After studying at the CMDL in Paris and then at the Royal Academy of Music in London, she has performed on stages across Europe, the UK, and Brazil, collaborating notably with Rhoda Scott, Alex Hitchcock, Marco Lobo, Emma Rawicz, and Clélya Abraham. As a member of the Clélya Abraham Quartet, she appears on the album ATACAMA.

She currently co-leads Ninanda with pianist Nina Gat. Winner of the René Utreger Prize and ReZZo Jazz à Vienne 2024, the group released its debut album A Place Where (KOMOS), hailed by Jazz Magazine as a “Revelation.”
