La Chacana

Louis Capeille studied the harp with V. Musson and M. Fourquier, then at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel (CH) in the classes of H. Rosenzweig, H. Smith and J. Christensen and at the ESMUC in Barcelona (E) with M. Galassi and X. Diaz-Latorre. Diaz-Latorre. He attended master classes with H. Smith, M. Galassi, E. Ferré, G. Garrido, E. Egüez, A. Lawrence-King and R. Jacobs. As a soloist and continuo player, Louis has performed with A. Corte Musical, Elyma, Hesperion XXI, Musica Fiorita, La Tempête, La Chacana, The Curious Bards, Agamemnon.... He has performed and recorded under the direction of J. Savall, G. Garrido, A. Lawrence-King, J. Tubéry, R. Jacobs, D. Vellard, X. Diaz-Latorre and P. Hamon. He is a member of The Curious Bards and a founding member of the ensemble La Boz Galana, which is dedicated to the Spanish and Latin American renaissance and baroque repertoire.
