Louis Capeille Arpa de dos órdenes & arpa llanera

As a child, Louis Capeille was fascinated by the hurdy-gurdy and the bagpipes, but he eventually set his sights on the harp and rugby.

As for the harp, after taking his first steps with V. Musson, Louis studied with M. Fourquier, then at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with H. Rosenzweig, H. Smith, and J. Christensen, as well as at the ESMUC in Barcelona with M. Galassi and X. Diaz. He has also participated in workshops and masterclasses with M. Galassi, A. Lawrence-King, E. Eguez, R. Jacobs, G. Garrido…

Louis Capeille has performed notably with the ensembles Hesperion XXI, Elyma, A Corte Musical, Musica Fiorita, Diabolus in Musica, Cappella Mediterranea, Barbaroque, and Les Alizés. He is a founding member of the ensemble La Boz Galana and a regular (and honored) member of the ensembles La Chacana, Agamemnon, and The Curious Bards. He also takes great pleasure in accompanying the children’s choirs conducted by C. Sadek.

That said, deep down in the garden, the bagpipes haven’t had their final say...
