Ma P'tite Chanson
ORIGINAL PROJECTSAgathe Peyrat (biographie longue) Voice and ukulele
Soprano Agathe Peyrat studied classical and contemporary music at a very early age, first with the Maîtrise de Radio-France, then at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
Driven by her love of the stage and a passion for theatrical work, she has performed as a soloist in various festivals, theatres and opera houses in France and abroad, performing the operatic repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary opera.
However, her interest in interdisciplinarity soon led her to take on more cross-disciplinary projects, combining theatre, opera and song. She created Peuplements, a choreographic piece by Flora Detraz for four female opera singers (Pli company), Tarquin, a lyrical drama for singers, actors and ballroom orchestra by Jeanne Candel, Aram Kebabdjian and Florent Hubert (La Vie Brève collective), Où je vais la nuit, a reworking of Gluck's Orphée et Eurydice and Georges Bizet's Carmen by Jeanne Desoubeaux (Maurice et les autres), La Vallée de l'étonnement, a contemporary opera by Alexandros Markeas directed by Sylvain Maurice (ensemble TM+), Sans Tambour, a collective musical theatre creation based on Schumann lieder by Samuel Achache (La Sourde).
She has performed with the vocal ensemble Aedes (conducted by Mathieu Romano) and the ensemble Pygmalion (conducted by Raphaël Pichon) in a variety of prestigious concert venues, including the Festival International d'Art Lyrique d'Aix en Provence, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, the Opéra Comique, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Philharmonie de Paris, among others.
In the realm of song, she is accompanied by her ukulele, an instrument adopted in 2008 that has taken her from the streets of the Avignon Festival to the stage of the Francofolies de La Rochelle. She works with the ensemble Les Lunaisiens (Arnaud Marzoratti), the Symphonie de poche (Nicolas Simon) and is a singer-songwriter with the group Inglenook. She also forms a duo with accordionist Pierre Cussac, enabling them to explore a wide repertoire of music, from Purcell to Tom Waits, reflecting their desire to bring the arts together with enthusiasm and curiosity.
