Alix Boivert baroque violin
Alix Boivert began playing the violin with Robert Papavrami, then entered the Jacques Thibaut Conservatoire in Bordeaux in 2002, where he obtained a CFEM in violin in 2004. After discovering the harpsichord and then the baroque violin with Guillaume Rebinguet-Sudre, he entered Odile Edouard's class at the CNSM in Lyon in 2009, graduating in 2014 with a Master's degree with honours and unanimous congratulations from the jury.
He has performed as a soloist in prestigious venues such as the Dublin National Concert Hall (2012) and the Bordeaux Auditorium (2014). As an orchestral musician, he has performed with Le Concert Spirituel, Pygmalion, La Chapelle Harmonique, Correspondances, Amarillis, La Chapelle Rhénane, etc. His first recording as a soloist was in 2014 with the Ensemble Baroque Atlantique (L'encelade label), in Johann Sebastian Bach's concerto BWV 1064. After several years of self-taught learning, and a year-long trip to Dublin, he founded The Curious Bards in 2015, with whom he explores 18th-century traditional and learned music compositions and publications in Ireland and Scotland. With this ensemble he recorded a first album for Harmonia Mundi (release autumn 2017).
