Colin Heller Kontrabasharpa and violin

Born in Briançon, France, he began playing the violin and the piano at the age of 5, then the organ and the baroque violin. After studying at the Conservatoire Darius Milhaud in Aix-en-Provence, he was admitted to the baroque violin class at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSMD) in Lyon in 2018. He is a self-taught student of various instruments, including the mandolin, the Swedish nyckelharpa, the gittern, the Norwegian hardingfele and the viola d'amore. A member of the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée from 2012 to 2014 as a violinist, he has played under Alain Altinoglu, François-Xavier Roth and Gianandrea Noseda...

His boundless curiosity and interest in the many facets of music have led him to collaborate with many artists from different horizons, such as traditional musicians Patrick Vaillant, Françoise Atlan, Moneim Adwan, Gabriel Lenoir, Daniel Muringer, Manu Théron, jazzmen Fabrizio Cassol and Jasser Haj Youssef, baroque musicians Monique Zanetti, Lila Hajosi and Dominique Serve, rock band Deluxe, and actors and directors Didier Rousselet and Côme de Bellescize.
