Jean-Luc Ho
HARPSICHORD & ORGANJean-Luc Ho (version longue) organ & harpsichord
Jean-Luc Ho studied the harpsichord, organ and clavichord. Now a keyboard musician, he performs mainly in recital, in France and abroad. His discography reflects his daily love of Bach, Couperin, Byrd and Sweelinck.
His interest in instruments and organ-building workshops has led him to become involved in the rebirth of a 1768 Castilian organ (now in Fresnes) and to build up his own collection of instruments. On this basis, he and Harmonia Sacra founded L'Hôtel de Barneville, a music centre for harpsichord encounters in Valenciennes (due to open in 2027).
In 2021 he was appointed, alongside Guillaume Prieur, assistant organist of the historic organ at the collegiate church in Dole, whose incumbent is Pierre Pfister.
Artist-in-residence at the Festival Bach en Combrailles (2017-2020) and the Royaumont Foundation (2018-2021), he has been teaching tuning and temperaments at the CNSMD in Paris since 2022.
He remains deeply influenced by his three years of apprenticeship with Blandine Verlet. He graduated from the CNSMD de Paris (2006) in the classes of Olivier Baumont (harpsichord) and Blandine Rannou (continuo).
