This week, Nicolas Simon conducts the Orchestre national Avignon-Provence in Zaïde for two performances, with composition/orchestration by Robin Melchior and staging by Louise Vignaud.

Come and applaud them on Friday April 25th at 8pm and Sunday April 27th at 2:30 pm.

Uplifted by Mozart's sovereign music, this initiatory fable transports us to a supernatural, timeless world, and tells the story of three isolated orphans who are soon confronted with an unexpected encounter. Through the adventures of Zaide and her companions, she will soon confirm that only the test of the stranger is truly emancipating, and that we cannot dream of freedom without shedding our prejudices...
A rare and privileged opportunity to hear a new Mozart for the first time, reminding us that theater is always a moment of openness to others and to differences, and in this sense a true experience of shared humanity.
