Pascal Amoyel

PIANO

Marie-Aude Roux, Le Monde, Septembre 2021

Pascal Amoyel is once again the guest of La Folle Journée du Japon, this time with his show Le jour où j'ai rencontré Franz Liszt for 2 performances this week in Tokyo:
It is often said that the life of Franz Liszt is like a novel... That's probably a far cry from his extraordinary destiny! He was history's first great "star", a virtuoso adored throughout Europe, the inventor of the recital, a seducer of a thousand conquests and a fervent believer, but he was also the most visionary composer of his time, still largely unknown today. At the height of his fame, at the age of 35, he surprised the world with a decision that turned his life upside down...

With music by BACH, MOZART, BEETHOVEN, CHOPIN, SCHUMANN, LISZT etc., Pascal Amoyel invites us to meet "his" Franz Liszt, aged 7 at the time, living in a small town in Hungary, with the wonder of a child's eyes... The audience travels alongside them in a unique show combining music, theater and... magic. A musical creation of rare intensity!
