Mujeres

Writers, composers, dreamers, mothers, femininity is expressed through artistic creations that confirm sensuality and strength by nature. Often in transgression and rebellion, often in disorder and pain, often silenced by silence, women voice’s are the thread for our program. From the Virgin Mary, to Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, or through a reverence to Mother Earth or Pachamama, according to the tradition of Afro-Amerindian indigenous peoples, MUJERES pays homage to the outstanding female personalities of the New World, with a poetic selection of their musical heritage from the time of the colonies to the present day.

The musicians combine the warm sounds of the traverso, viola da gamba and baroque guitar with enchanting vocals to paint a poetic and powerful portrait of this ancestral heritage.
