Ensemble Contraste

"Les mélodies de l'amour" or the art of capturing a thousand nuances of love: expectation, desire, happiness, melancholy, sadness, exaltation, passion, absence, disillusionment, memories, farewells. Through a singular instrumental ensemble, combining viola and piano with voice, this programme seeks to describe the feelings of love as set to music by Purcell, Schubert, Dvorak, Gounod, Saint-Saëns, Puccini, Verdi, Massenet, Fauré, Chausson, Strauss..., to form an intimate symphony.
