Mozartissimo !

Mozartissimo !

Zachary Wilder, tenor
Arnaud Thorette, viola
Johan Farjot, piano

With Mozartissimo!, tenor Zachary Wilder, violist Arnaud Thorette and pianist Johan Farjot take the audience on a journey to the heart of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s vocal world.

Spanning lieder, concert arias and opera excerpts, this programme reveals the full expressive richness of the composer, from the Viennese salon to the opera stage. The lieder — Abendempfindung, Das Lied der Trennung, An Chloe and Der Zauberer — reveal an intimate and poetic Mozart, whilst the viola adds a distinctive colour, particularly in Komm, liebe Zither, where the voice engages in dialogue with the instrument.

The concert arias and opera excerpts offer another facet of the composer: that of the dramatist and the virtuoso. From the expressive intensity of Misero! O sogno to the great passages from Idomeneo, Il re pastore and Le nozze di Figaro, Mozart is revealed here in all his diversity, spanning poetry, theatre and virtuosity.
