Marco Angioloni & Ensemble Contraste release a CD together for the Glossa Label entitled ‘Dolce Vita'!

Dolce Vita transports us between love, nostalgia and dreams of travel, between operetta and popular song, on famous arias arranged for this recording by Johan Farjot for the Ensemble Contraste. This intimate, loving and joyous journey brings together the essential tastes of an era dominated by carefree, unbridled creativity. From Bixio to Benatzky, via Lopez and Porter, this seductive programme takes you back in time to Merrill and Piaf, with plenty of surprises in store to keep you dreaming, singing and spending a pleasant evening with talented musicians. A record event for lovers of opera and popular songs alike, and for all those who wish to discover and rediscover the most famous emblematic songs of Italy and France. You'll travel to Rome, Florence, Naples, under the skies of Paris and to the jazzy tunes of this ultra-creative era.

The CD release concert is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8th at the Bal Blomet in Paris at 8pm.

Ensemble Contraste is inviting the truculent and talented mezzo-soprano Lucile Richardot to embody the nocturnal chronicles that the poets of Paris from the Belle Époque to the post-war period imagined in their timeless songs.

Les Nuits d'une Demoiselle" will bring together our learned composers Poulenc, Satie, Lili Boulanger and our unforgettable troubadours Montand, Gainsbourg, Barbara, Ferré... in an intimate instrumental setting.
All this in an intimate instrumental setting combining viola, flute, piano and double bass to accompany the singular Lucile Richardot! 

They will be in concert on Friday, May 3rd at 7pm at Le Moulin du Roc, the national concert venue in Niort (FR).
