American Kaleidoscope

100% Gershwin

I've always been fascinated by the world of George Gershwin, whose work straddles the border between jazz and classical music. He succeeds in creating this feeling of improvisation while at the same time having a great melodic imagination. Having performed the Rhapsody in Blue for piano and orchestra, as well as the version for solo piano, on numerous occasions, I propose a new 100% Gershwin program, a veritable musical “kaleidoscope” of America.

Life is a lot like jazz... It's a lot better when you improvise." George Gershwin

Gershwin
Piano works songbooks: The Man I Love, Fascinating Rhythm, Rialto Ripples, Do-Do-Do, I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise, Somebody loves me, I got rhythm, That Certain Feeling, Nobody but you, Sweet and Low Down...
An American in Paris
3 Preludes

There are a number of dates and recitals to look forward to at the start of the year: first in the Drôme (Sérénades en baronnies festival in France), then as part of the music season at the Abbey aux Dames auditorium, before returning to the excitement of La Folle Journée in Nantes (FR)!

Find out more about Fanny Azzuro's proposed programmes for next season.
