Schumann and Rachmaninoff

Between Romanticism and Post-Romanticism, this programme gives pride of place to music of a sensitive nature, reminiscent of childhood (Schumann), the Follia dance (Rachmaninoff's Corelli Variations), and the romantic Chopinian universe (Rachmaninoff's Preludes).

Each of the pieces has a well-defined universe, a succession of short pieces, sort of nature scenes, poetic scenes, and explosive scenes, it is a journey through the romantic and Russian soul of Sergei Rachmaninoff.

SCHUMANN
13 scènes d'enfants op. 15

RACHMANINOFF
20 variations on a theme by Corelli op. 42

RACHMANINOFF
Prelude op. 3 n° 2
Prelude op. 23 n° 4 et n°5
Prelude op. 32 n° 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 13
