A musical journey around hope

Hope is nothing more than the belief that this moment has not yet arrived...
— Carlos Ruiz Zafón, The Labyrinth of Spirits

Throughout the centuries and across cultures, music has always been one of the most powerful languages for expressing hope. Spiritual hope, hope for freedom, hope for a more just world, intimate hope that carries us through life's trials.

The HOPE program, conceived by Gaëlle Solal and Arnaud Thorette, offers a musical journey that combines classical music, folk traditions, and protest songs. From the baroque of Johann Sebastian Bach and Henry Purcell to the poetic impulses of Gabriel Fauré, from the fiery rhythms of Astor Piazzolla and Manuel de Falla to the protest songs of Violeta Parra and Alberto Ginastera, this program weaves a sensitive thread between eras and continents.
