Flute and Marimba: A Dialogue Without Borders

Flute and Marimba: A Dialogue Without Borders

Born of a deep artistic rapport and the joy of sharing the stage, this programme brings together flautist Juliette Hurel and marimbist Vassilena Serafimova in a dialogue that is as refined as it is unexpected.

Driven by a shared musical curiosity, the two performers explore a vast repertoire which they reinvent for the flute and marimba. From Europe to Asia, via Latin America, they invite the audience on a musical journey where the works take on a new colour, revealing the extraordinary richness and complementary nature of these two instruments.

The programme is punctuated by solo pieces, offering in turn the flute and the marimba the opportunity to reveal the full extent of their expressive and virtuosic capabilities.

Featuring daring transcriptions, reimagined masterpieces and contemporary compositions, this concert celebrates the freedom to reinvent works and the magic of an instrumental partnership of rare naturalness.
