EARLY MUSIC

Bach on air

Bach on air

A transfiguration of Bach's world through dance.

The counterpoint between Kantor's music and contemporary dance highlights timeless facets of his art: the simplicity of his music for solo instrument is embodied by the recitals of the violinist and the dancer in echo, the Baroque forms are revealed in a language of the body beyond stylistic codes, the improvisation of the choreography, appropriating places and spaces, balances Bach's absolute writing.

And air is the link between dance and music, between breath and sound, baroque and contemporary.
