La Nébuleuse / Gabriel Rignol

This programme focuses on Italian composers who wrote to texts by Il Torquato Tasso.  Deeply inspired by the poetry that emanated from it, the composers in question outdid themselves: from the famous Monteverdi and Gesualdo to the lesser-known (d'India, Mazzocchi) and the unjustly unknown (Massaino, Priuli...).
This programme takes the form of a dystopian tale in 3 parts: Canti Amorosi - Canti Guerrieri - Lamenti.
