Chopin at Georges Sand's

 

Chopin spent seven summers between 1839 and 1846, far from the hustle and bustle of Paris, in a house in a small hamlet in the south of Berry, Nohant, where he rubbed shoulders with the greatest artists, writers and thinkers of his time. Here he composed most of the masterpieces of his maturity.

 

Ballade, Berceuse, Barcarolle, Nocturnes, Scherzi, Mazurkas, Polonaise héroïque....
