Letters
This cross-over programme brings together pop-folk singer LYLAC and the Alfama Quartet for an immersion in the world of correspondence, and more particularly love letters. The concept combines the repertoire of Elvis Costello's ‘Juliet Letters’ and the Brodsky Quartet with ‘Lettres Intimes’, Leoš Janáček's second string quartet, interspersed with miniatures composed especially for this project by our contemporary and compatriot Jean-Luc Fafchamps and songs by LYLAC. Music from different backgrounds but blended into a single expressive and intense language.
