Having met on the occasion of several celebrations of composer Kaija Saariaho, the Ardeo Quartet and soprano Faustine de Monès propose a program exploring the beauty of nature.
If nature completes the image of the seasons,
If it lingers when they pass without stopping,
It's out of perfection - the top of the sky shines.
For men then, as blossom crowns the trees.

This image opens the door to the sensual melodies of Viennese art nouveau composers such as Webern, Mahler and Richard Strauss.
It's also a new opportunity for these 5 musicians to pay tribute to the Finnish composer they have always championed in their programming. Saariaho's “Terra Memoria” quartet will be offered to recall, in the words of the composer, the memories of “those who have left us”.
