Quatuor Leonis

Music Box is a musical program that mixes different musical and artistic aesthetics: classical music, world music, pop arrangements, jazz, contemporary creation but also musical humor, interactions with the audience...

With its extensive stage experience gained through the creation of various shows (Eclisse Totale, l'Art délicat du Quatuor, Panenka, etc.), the Quatuor Leonis offers with Music Box a new, open-plan recital format that is inspired and accessible to all. The purest emotion of a slow movement by Beethoven rubs shoulders here with Armenian melodies, the feverish tango of Astor Piazzolla, the swinging rhythm of James Brown, the hypnotic Philip Glass or the cult song 'La vie en rose' by Edith Piaf... Unusual arrangements have been specially made for the Leonis Quartet by Manuel Doutrelant.

The only watchwords for our four adventurers of the bowed string are: pleasure and sharing the musical magic of the string quartet with as many people as possible.
