Arts-Scène Diffusion

Association

Arts/Scène Production is a production and promotion organisation for performers and events.

Since it was established, it has been involved in organising several hundred concerts and producing over 15 CDs. The organisation has become an indispensable feature of musical life in Brussels. Via its founder Bernard Mouton, it is associated with the Midis-Minimes festival (Brussels) and the Zomer van Sint-Pieter festival (Leuven); the staging of public and private concerts at venues such as the châteaux of Braine-le-Château and Acoz, and the Musée des Beaux-Arts and Musée du Cinquantenaire in Brussels; and the CD label Musica Ficta.

We offer administrative support for musicians (sale of concerts, invoicing, contracts, payslips etc.), advice on creating and promoting musical projects (budget management, providing contacts with programme planners), help with realising projects such as shows, concerts and CDs, and actual promotion of projects to relevant professional audiences (press, media, programme planners).

Since January 2009 we have been developing our artist promotion via the creation of Arts/Scène Diffusion, with the participation of Marie-Lou Kazmierczak. We are currently promoting some 20 different artists and projects in the fields of early music, chamber music, world music, and family and children’s entertainments. Each of these artists has their own profile, their own type of repertoire, their own creative approach or mix of disciplines; this individuality has to be reflected in a tailored approach to promotion. The main activity involves arranging concert or performance dates. At the same time, we discuss with programme planners and artists the possibilities for educational activities and awareness-raising around the projects being promoted.
