Ma P'tite Chanson Agathe Peyrat and Pierre Cussac in duet

Lyric singer Agathe Peyrat and accordionist Pierre Cussac like to travel between different musical horizons. These two musicians with atypical backgrounds, equally at home on the opera stage and at jazz festivals, have come together on a project dedicated to song in all its forms.

It was when they met during the production of a Mozart opera, and then on a series of concerts around Boris Vian, that the two musicians realized their shared interest in artistic extremes. The desire to imagine a first program together quickly took shape, with a view to total freedom of repertoire. French chanson, opera, international variety, jazz: you name it!

From this initial search, the Ma p'tite chanson program - which also gave the duo its name - was born, and met with immediate enthusiasm from a varied audience, from novices to the most discerning music lovers. It was therefore only natural for them to broaden their palette and create two new programs: Je chante la nuit, a reworking of great classical pieces, and Beatles, Everywhere, entirely dedicated to the Beatles (commissioned by the Cité de la Voix de Vézelay).
