A soloist with the Orchestre de Paris since 1981, Pascal Moragues has worked with such great conductors as Leonard Bernstein, Daniel Barenboim, Carlo-Maria Giulini, Seiji Ozawa, Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, Georg Solti and many others.
He also performs as a concert artist, notably under the baton of Pierre Boulez, Paavo Jarvi, Semyon Bychkov, Carlo-Maria Giulini, Wolfgang Sawallich, Zubin Mehta, Frans Brugen, Christophe Eschenbach, etc.
A much sought-after chamber music partner, he and his brothers founded the Quintette Moragues, an ensemble that stands out for the boldness of its programming.
Pascal Moragues has appeared in the most prestigious institutions such as the Berlin Philharmonie and Konzerthaus, the Salzburg Mozarteum, the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Gstaatd Festival, the Philharmonie de Paris, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Carnegie Hall in New York...
His main chamber music partners include Isabelle Faust, Joshua Bell, Viktoria Mullova, Schlomo Mintz, Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, K.M.Labèque, Claire Désert, Gary Hoffman, E.Bashkirova, Daniel Barenboim, Elisabeth Léonskaja, Christian Poltera and Mischa Maisky as well as the late Boris Pergamenchikov and Sviatoslav Richter.
He has also played with the Belcea, Jerusalem, Leipzig, Prazac and even Borodin quartets.
Pascal Moragues has taught at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris since 1995, at the Haute Ecole de Musique et de Danse de Paris and at the Conservatoire de Paris.
