Trio SR9

Born in 1987, Paul Changarnier studied percussion in Normandy before completing his training at the CNSMD in Lyon in 2014. He is a laureate of the Cannes International Percussion Competition (2010) and the Yamaha Music Europe Foundation (2013). As a drummer, percussionist, and composer, he now develops projects that blend music, dance, and performance, with a broad and open aesthetic approach.

Rooted in both classical and contemporary music, as well as electronic music and hip-hop, he composes for live performance using analog and modular synthesizers, crafting a unique and personal sound world.

He co-founded Trio SR9 in 2012, and is also a founding member of Collectif A/R (since 2012) and Ensemble TaCTuS (since 2011). He collaborates with artists such as Yuval Pick, Maud Le Pladec, and Collectif Petit Travers.

A curious and committed artist, Paul Changarnier performs across France, Europe, and around the world (USA, Japan, Australia…), in concerts, stage productions, and masterclasses.
