We are delighted to welcome Diana Baroni to Arts/Scène Diffusion!

A musician straddling two worlds, originally from Argentina and now based in Europe, Diana Baroni is one of the most renowned and sought-after baroque singers and flutists.

Her curiosity leads her to explore many horizons: at the crossroads of multiple languages, Diana explores traditional and contemporary music through a range of hybrid and captivating projects. She creates unclassifiable works, giving rise to albums that revive the Latin American repertoire by affirming its sensuality, dynamism and creativity.

In partnership with artists as extraordinary as herself, such as the Brodsky Quartet, Tunde Jegede, Ronald Martin Alonso, Simon Drappier and Jasser Haj Youssef, her creations blend the inventiveness of contemporary music with the richness of South American folklore. Constantly seeking new combinations, the musician is not constrained by any boundaries in her exploration of music, its treasures and its limits, like a great traveller.

Diana Baroni, Ronald Martin Alonso and Rafael Guel Frias will be performing their Mujeres programme in Belgium this Sunday!

Poets, composers, dreamers, mothers: femininity is expressed through artistic creations that confirm sensuality and strength by nature. Often in transgression and rebellion, often in distress and sorrow, often silenced, women's voices are the common thread running through our programme. From the Virgin Mary to Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, via Mother Earth or Pachamama, according to the tradition of Afro-Amerindian peoples, MUJERES pays tribute to the remarkable female figures of the New World through a poetic selection of their musical heritage from the colonial era to the present day.
