Gabriel Fauré's Requiem
unpublished chamber version with vocal quartet, string quartet and organ
In its constant search for new insights into the works of the French Romantic repertoire, the Contraste Ensemble continues its path alongside Gabriel Fauré. After two discs devoted to his vocal and instrumental work (Quatuor with piano, the Good Song at Outhere, After a dream at Aparté) with the mezzo-soprano Karine Deshayes, the Ensemble Contraste wishes to bring a new sound texture to four chefs-d work: the Requiem, the Pavane, the Song of Jean Racine and the Elegie.
With 4 young singers:
Amélie Raison, soprano
Marine Chagno, mezzo
Blaise Rantoanina, tenor
Igor Bouin, baritone
& 5 musicians 2 violas, 2 cellos & positive organ
