Songs of Gospel - Freedom
Sing to be free. Sing to free. It may seem paradoxical that so many religious or liturgical hymns can be identified as so many songs of emancipation. But the characteristic of music is to emancipate, precisely.
Around famous themes of gospel, the Ensemble Contraste proposes a musical and literary work with multiple sources inspired by texts written by certain famous figures who committed themselves for the rights of the man and the peace: Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Aimé Césaire, Desmond Tutu, Rosa Parks, René Cassin.
