From Choro to Maxixe, the choice of these nostalgic yet restless tunes transports us to a corner of the world that continues to fascinate us because it never stops changing. From the roots of Brejeiro to the Concerto by the master of over a thousand opuses, Heitor Villa-Lobos, via the popular intuition of Chiquinha Gonzaga, Gaëlle Solal takes us on a journey to the inspired celebration of the magical myth of Saci, the mischievous spirit of Rio, which composer Clarice Assad has transformed into a concerto for the king of Brazilian instruments, which we have long dreamed of hearing up close.
