Inspiring nature

Flutist Juliette Hurel and pianist Hélène Couvert celebrate their 30 years of musical complicity with a new album devoted to nature in the Romantic period. They offer a recital combining the works on this programme with those of other 20th century French composers, also inspired by nature.

In the Romantic period, nature became the confidant of composers. Through their works, the female duo takes you to meet the miller imagining his near end, surrounded by the flowers given by his lost love and the water nymph Ondine, in search of a human soul. In the second part of the programme, the cycle of nature is presented, from spring morning to the awakening of the Blackbird.
