CLASSIC-JAZZ-CREATIONS

Tangorom

Tangorom

A promise of a journey from Argentina to Eastern Europe, via gypsy jazz and classical music. The compass has lost its way since Loco Cello decided to redraw the map of the world on his scores, as this second album passemurailles proves.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Django Reinhart's death, there will be no shortage of tributes to the Gypsy master. Among the many Nuages to come, Loco Cello's new album, Tangorom, offers a saving grace by celebrating, with audacity and originality, another facet of Django: his lyrical playing through his passion for classical music.

Tangorom sails from Astor Piazzolla to Django, passing through chamber music and Eastern European music. A crazy odyssey.

Eva Knieriemen, Les heures musicales du Kochersberg, Mars 2023

Loco Cello will be in concert in the beautiful setting of the Invalides this Monday, March 25th at 8pm in the Grand Salon des Invalides.
With the collaboration of cellist Aurélien Pascal, the program has been remodeled to reflect the theme of the Musée de l'Armée's musical season:
Pushing each of the three instruments - François Salque's cello, Samuel Strouk's guitar and Jérémie Arranger's double bass - to their limits, at the crossroads of written music. Olivier Greif's Bataille d'Azincourt, in the form of a duel for two cellos, with Aurélien Pascal, evokes the suffering of war and the mystery of death.
