Ma P'tite Chanson

ORIGINAL PROJECTS

Ma P'tite Chanson

From Anne Sylvestre to Liza Minelli, via Maurice Yvain, Brigitte Fontaine, Radiohead, the Beatles and Tom Waits, Agathe Peyrat and Pierre Cussac revisit the voice-accordion duo in an intimate, generous concert.

Mechanics of intimacy, a call to memory and imagination. Like unfolding an animated book, they reach out to the audience. They open the doors to a world in miniature, inviting us to travel to the very heart of song. Exploring the repertoire with inventiveness, playing with shapes as they would with colors, they have fun bringing to light melodies tinged with jazz, cabaret, French chanson and international variety.

The soprano voice takes on songs by Tom Waits or Bourvil, the ukulele interferes with a Radiohead hit, and the accordion covers a few Beatles lines, all with a certain taste for disguise and mischief. It's a way of shining a new light on texts, of reappropriating lyrics beyond genres and preconceptions... A way of having fun, in short.
