Ma P'tite Chanson

ORIGINAL PROJECTS

Ma P'tite Chanson

From Brigitte Fontaine to Paolo Conte, via hits by The Beatles and Liza Minelli, Agathe Peyrat and Pierre Cussac revisit the voice-accordion duo in an intimate and generous concert.

A mechanism for intimacy, a call to memory and imagination. Like unfolding a pop-up book, they reach out to the audience, opening the doors to a miniature world like a call to journey to the very heart of song. Exploring the repertoire with inventiveness, playing with forms as one would with colors, they highlight melodies tinged with jazz, cabaret, French chanson, and international pop, not to mention the classical repertoire, which, arranged to their liking, also joins in the celebration.

It is with a touch of mischief and a certain taste for disguise that the songs of Tom Waits or Bourvil are thus covered by the soprano voice, that the ukulele intrudes into Paolo Conte and that the accordion takes up a few lines of the famous Danny Boy. It's a way of shedding new light on the lyrics, of reappropriating the words beyond genres and preconceptions... A way to have fun, in short.
