These trios tell the story of Schumann's change of heart, from creative urgency to the tragic madness that haunts his final pieces.

Le Trio Talweg livre une superbe intégrale des trios de Schumann (…) le plus perturbé Trio n°3 en sol mineur, opus 110, ouvrage d’un compositeur déjà malade conclut le programme. Lui aussi en quatre mouvements, il démontre la même cohésion entre les trois artistes, avec là encore des phrases très bien prononcées par chacun d’entre eux (…). En bis, la très adaptée n°3 des Fantaisiestücke opus 88 du même Schumann clôture admirablement cette remarquable soirée.
