Samuel Strouk guitare

Samuel Strouk, composer, guitarist and artistic director, is a leading figure on the contemporary music scene. A graduate of the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris and Montpellier, he stands out for his innovative approach to both written and improvised music.

In recent years, Samuel Strouk has enriched the symphonic repertoire with landmark works, including the double concerto Le Rêve de Maya for cello and accordion, premiered in Russia in 2019, and the concerto Élise mon Mirage, presented in its world premiere at Moscow's Zaryadye Concert Hall in 2021. In 2022, he unveils United Symphony, commissioned by the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne. His compositions, performed internationally, testify to a great ability to fuse musical genres.

As a conductor, he has led prestigious ensembles, and his collaborations include world-renowned artists such as François Salque, Vincent Peirani, Biréli Lagrène and the Orchestre National de Bretagne. He also made his mark with Biréli Symphonic, a tribute to symphonic jazz created in 2021 with Biréli Lagrène and André Ceccarelli.

Samuel Strouk also explores the links between music and technology. His critically acclaimed album Nouveaux Mondes, released in 2021, features a string quartet and rhythm section. At the same time, he launched MUSIC iN, a fair-trade streaming platform supporting artists.

Artistic Director of the Maisons-Laffitte Jazz Festival since 2013, he continues to work for the renewal of repertoires and the accessibility of music to all. His exceptional career illustrates an artistic vision focused on innovation and sharing.
